Reliability Prognosis to Improve Aircraft Maintenance
Maintenance is evolving towards a new predictive process that increases
efficiency (availability, reliability and safety), minimizes economic costs and helps to assess risks
and to make decisions. In the aeronautical industry, especially, this new maintenance has to be very precise
to reduce delays and cancellations in operational plans, while maximizing minimal loss of safety. This
presentation shows an approach, based on ageing modeling, to enhance the prognosis in the case of electronic
component failure prediction and operational reliability and usage based maintenance planning.
